The Raspberry Pi Power over Ethernet HAT is a small accessory for the Raspberry Pi computer. It can only be used with the Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+.
Please ensure that your Raspberry Pi's software is up to date for all functionality to be available, and there is no need to make other changes to the Raspberry Pi.
Supports 802.3af PoE network standard. The PoE HAT allows you to power your Raspberry Pi using Power over Ethernetndashenabled networks; for this product to be used, the network it is connected to needs to have power-sourcing equipment installed.
The PoE HAT comes with a 25mm x 25mm small brushless cooling fan that is controlled by the Raspberry Pi via I2C.The fan will turn on and off automatically depending on the temperature of the main processor on the Raspberry Pi; Fully isolated switch mode power supply (SMPS),37-57 V DC,Class 2 device,5V/2.5A DC output.
Hardware connection:
1. Before installing the PoE HAT, you must attach the supplied spacers in the four corners of the board.
2. Connect the PoE HAT to the Raspberry Pi 40pin and 4pin PoE interfaces. Once the PoE HAT board is connected, you can power the Raspberry Pi through its RJ45 network connector.
3. When unplugging the PoE HAT, pull evenly to make the module smoothly detach from the Raspberry Pi pin, avoiding the pin header.
Please note:
Can only be powered by PoE devices that comply with the 802.3af standard.
The connection of incompatible devices to the GPIO connection may affect compliance and result in damage to the unit.
Should be operated in a well ventilated environment, if used inside a case, the case should not be covered.
It should be placed on a smooth insulating surface during use and should not be in contact with conductive objects.
